Request for submission of Good Practices on implementation of the Tuberculosis Action Plan for the WHO European Region, 2016–2020

WHO/Europe
Dec. 6, 2017, 9:48 p.m.

The Tuberculosis Action Plan for the WHO European Region, 2016–2020 has been developed to operationalize the global WHO End TB Strategy in the regional context. The Plan sets a regional goal and targets for the care and control of TB and drug-resistant TB from 2016 to 2020. It is currently in a midway of its implementation.

Since the ultimate success of the Plan and the Strategy depends on the commitment of all stakeholders to address the set targets, the WHO Regional Office for Europe is soliciting its Member States, partners and communities to share their good practices in implementation of the Tuberculosis Action Plan for the WHO European Region, 2016–2020. The Compendium of Good Practices will (i) highlight pioneers in adaptation and accomplishment of the Plan at the national level according to country specificities and (ii) support the work ahead by sharing experience and lessons learnt.

You are invited to submit examples of good practices that have been carried out in your country/project under any of three areas of intervention: integrated, patient-centred care and prevention; bold policies and supportive systems; and intensified research and innovation.

The Compendium will be distributed during the 69th WHO Regional Committee for Europe.

The submission form, selection criteria and copyright form are included below in English and Russian. The deadline for submission is 15 April 2018.

If you have any questions, contact the WHO Regional Office for Europe at eurotb@who.int; with a copy to the appointed consultant Dr Elmira Gurbanova at elmiragurbanova@gmail.com.
