A call to action ahead of the Union Conference urges France to confirm the commitments made in the UN Political Declaration on TB and to translate it into concrete measures.
On 15-18 November 2023, France will host the Union World Conference on Lung Health (Union Conference) where researchers, TB advocates and French decision-makers will gather to exchange on the latest scientific research in this field. The event is a major opportunity to maintain the momentum following the holding of the UN High-Level Meeting on TB in September.
To that end, on 26 October 2023 Global Health Advocates published a call to action ahead of the Union Conference, gathered 191 signatures, urging France to confirm the commitments made in the UN Political Declaration on TB and to translate it into concrete measures, including through increased financial commitments toward TB research and development in the following years.
