January 9, 2019 — Friends of the Global Fight is releasing an issue brief today, “Backing Civil Society to End the AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Epidemics.” This issue brief highlights the pivotal role in the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria played by civil society—all those stakeholders who are neither government bodies nor private sector enterprises, such as NGOs, advocacy groups and faith based organizations.

The Global Fund adds value for saving lives and epidemic responses at the local, national and international level by investing in the voice and role of civil society as an impact multiplier. Civil society helps ensure:
