Call for good practices of intersectoral collaboration to end HIV, TB and viral hepatitis

WHO/Europe is calling for partners across the whole of society to showcase their work in responding to HIV, tuberculosis (TB) and viral hepatitis from outside the traditional health sector.

Despite great improvements, these epidemics are still a threat to the health of people in Europe and central Asia. Due to antimicrobial resistance, the progress achieved is also at risk.

As stated in the United Nations common position on ending HIV, TB and viral hepatitis, efforts to respond to these epidemics must address their social, environmental and economic determinants, and hence require the involvement of all sectors and different types of partners.

This official call for good practices is addressed to all partners working at local, national and international levels. It was released in October 2019, and submissions are due by 18 November 2019. Each written submission should describe 1 good practice, must be between 500 (minimum) and 2500 (maximum) words long, and must follow the structure of the submission form.

Questions, suggestions or requests for technical assistance can be addressed throughout the duration of the project to IBCHealthJTH@who.int and to Ms Vittoria Gemelli of the joint tuberculosis, HIV and viral hepatitis programme at gemelliv@who.int.
