Survey: Meaningful engagement of TB affected communities
Meaningful engagement of communities affected by TB has been inadequate in development of National Strategic Plan (NSP). Despite communities of people affected by TB are critical to ending TB yet, they are most times excluded in major decision-making processes including planning and coordination of NSP development.
In order to address this gap, TBpeople has received support from the Global Fund through Community Rights and Gender Special Initiative (CRG-SI) to conduct a study on meaningful engagement of the communities of people affected by TB, using process of development of National Strategic Plans on TB as a proxy for broader country-level engagement in decision- and policy-making. Thus, a questionnaire has been developed to evaluate how organizations and networks of people affected by TB and of TB survivors, as well as organizations and networks of TB key populations, are involved in NSP development.
The survey should be completed by a person who was directly involved in processes of development and/or implementation of the National Strategic Plan (NSP) on TB. The answers and comments will be used to develop specific proposals in order to improve the current situation with TB community engagement in country level decision making.
Completing the survey will last not more than 30 minutes. The deadline to complete the survey is 26 October 2019.
